Hello Sir,

Great video thank you. May I ask you a quick question? I just bought my used Honda SH150i 2 days ago and noticed that on the same sticker that has the VIN#, the stickler is located on below the ignition, center, mine says SH150D, even though it is the 2010Honda SH150i. May I ask you if yours says SH150i or SH150D on the sticker? Thank you

You said 80 Km per tank which is like 1.5 gallons? that’s only 33 miles per gallon…

Seriously, anyone who is considering this scooter should look at the Aprilia Sportcity 250 ie. Faster, cheaper, and has both front and back disc brakes. You should not be taking this 150 on the interstate and if you shouldn’t be doing that, then why not either go up to a scooter you CAN take on the interstate (like the Sportcity 250) or just stick with a 125 and save over $1,000. Lots of good 125s out there.

Top speed? Depends on how much weight the bike is carring. With a lone 175 lb. rider, I should think the Sh150i would top out at close to 70 mph. With my heavy (250 lbs +) keester at the wheel, top speed is 60 mph on level ground.

what is the top speed

Just bought the Honda Sh150i last week! It was technically “used” at the dealer, as she had 30 miles on her. After one week I’m pleased, except for the rear drum brake and lack of even a small front glove compartment.
How’s your Sh150i doing after what..11 months now?

Where is this scooter made?

Nice video, I also have an FZ6, I think I saw one back on the mirror reflection, I will keep my FZ6 for long rides but to ride in NYC I am looking for something smaller with 2 up capabilities,
Did you try the Yamaha Zuma 125??
If so, what do you think.

eric2530 January 13, 2012 at 1:12 am

@0hgeo So whats the fastest you’ve gone up to on your honda so far? You have the parking lot rush hour but up in Nor Cal everyone drives slow according to my cousin who lives in LA. Anyways, I would think that in order to ride safely on the freeway a moped/motorcycle should be capable of going 70+ just to have that extra speed needed.

0hgeo January 13, 2012 at 1:22 am

@eric2530 I actually looked at the Scarabeo too and was debating on it too. I went for the Honda for the same reason you mentioned. I actually went onto the freeway accidentally with mine and she didn’t do TOO bad. I would still probably go with nothing less than a 250cc scooter or motorcycle on a freeway. During rush hour you’re totally fine on your scooter on a freeway though. Especially when it’s a parking lot like it is here in LA hahaha…

eric2530 January 13, 2012 at 1:40 am

I am looking at getting either the SH150i or the Aprilia Scarabeo 200. Any thoughts on which one is the better choice? I would probably choose honda because its a reliable brand but my only concern is whether its fast enough for the freeway @ 65mph. Most of my driving is on surface streets but it would be good to always have the freeway as an option.

miniultrastick January 13, 2012 at 2:29 am

nice bike, you’re a homo!

0hgeo January 13, 2012 at 2:47 am

Hahaha yeah. The price is a bit steep, but I can’t complain too much. I really love how she performs. Really great overall scooter.

0hgeo January 13, 2012 at 2:52 am

No problem man!! Hope you enjoy her as much as I do. I love mine!!

0hgeo January 13, 2012 at 3:45 am

Yeah sorry for the late reply. No payments needed. I just paid it all off in one blow. Less to worry about. heh.

LarryRickenbacker January 13, 2012 at 4:18 am

No doubt I’d really enjoy this scoot: practical, great “blood lines” (Honda resale, service & qulaity) , ridiculously good mpg and 16-inch tires.
But $5,000 OTD for a 150cc scoot? Heck, I’ll probably GET one this Summer, anyway. ;)

nickbubblehead January 13, 2012 at 4:28 am

Thanks for this video. This is the scooter I plan to buy before I move to Morocco (Job) . I like the fact that it is fuel ingected, water cooled and has 16″ wheels. I think the magic ingredients to a sound bike. Plus, its a Honda engine. I learned more from your video that I did with the salemans at the showroom. There is no doubt in my mind that the SH150i is the way to go for me. Again, thanks for taking the time to do this excellent video.
