My son bought this scooter and I was skeptical. It really is very cool for the price. It zips right along, has headlight blinkers and horn. It gave him mobility that he didn’t have before. Now, I don’t allow him to ride it on streets with speed limits over 25mph, but it is more than adequate to get him around our subdivision. I have even ridden in when all the cars are gone. It’s fun! Now, remember, it runs on rechargeable batteries. If you follow the directions on keeping it charged, you will get the most life out of them. But after a year or two, you will probably want to replace the batteries with new ones. Not a problem. Replace,ment parts are readily available. Matter of fact, I recently ran over the charger with my car and now will by a new one for about $15 from ebay…. It’s body is plastic, so it is not for those who are hard on things and should only buy things made of metal. It should NOT be stored outside. Because the wheels are small, it can feel a little ‘wiggly’ especially at higher speeds–and the less you weigh, the faster you will go. I would NOT recommend it for small children. My son was 13 when we got him this. We have totally enjoyed the thing. Now we are in the market to buy the BIGGER more POWERFUL one for our daughter who is going to school in an urban area and needs safe cheap transportation in inner city where there is no place to park a car….
